How To Book More Brides In A New City When You Need To Relocate Your Wedding Beauty Business

As a bridal hair and makeup artist in a specific area, you get very comfortable with others in the industry. Your familiar with venues, you have vendors you have worked with before, and you know how to market. But, if you decide to change your location, and therefore where you do business, how you ensure a seamless transition to your new city? There are a few strategies you can put in place to keep your bookings full through the transition period.

Redefine your dream bride 

When you are moving to a new location, you need to be able to adjust your marketing plan, and that starts with visualizing your dream bride. Who are you hoping to target? How will you reach them? What is going to appeal to them? When you are switching markets, you need to be able to identify the traits that will stand out to the people in that area. Is it a destination for weddings, or a large city base? When you have these characteristics defined, you will be able to zero in on what type of content you should be posting to attract your dream bride in your new location. 

Make social media work for you 

One of the easiest ways to get a head start on relocating is to use your social media to promote your business in your new area. The easiest way you can do this is by adding hashtags to your content posts. By including location hashtags, that’s going to ensure your posts get visibility in the area you are looking for – whether that’s by brides, vendors, or others in the industry.  You should also include the location on any photos you post. You can take it one step further by adding the location into your bio so it’s one of the first things people will see when they visit your profile. 

Reach out to other vendors in the area

Referrals are one of the best ways to get business, and a surefire way to do that is by building relationships with other vendors in your industry in the area. Reach out to event planners and photographers in your new area. Follow them on social media, even reach out via message and let them know your new in the area and the service you provide. By building these relationships and making them aware of you, your chances of working together or receiving a referral will be much better.
